Belfast City Hall Phase 1 Compeleted

19 Feb 2009

Corlin are proud to announce the completion of the Phase 1 works of the internal re-decoration package of the Belfast City Hall. Although phase 2 will also be a very substantial and challenging package the Phase 1 involved all the prestigious areas of the Job such as the Great Hall, Banqueting Hall and in particular the very impressive Rotunda. These works were completed to meet the Contractors programme with all parties delighted with the quality of the work.

We are delighted to confirm the securing of the Painting contract for the Eating Parlour of Headfort House in Kells, County Meath. This is regarded as the last surviving example of the work of the renowned 18th Century Architect Robert Adam and after the discovery of his plans the scheme was established to bring this very important room back to its former glory as originally planned. The room consists of very valuable art works and superbly crafted wall and ceiling mouldings. The work will be very slow and intricate and provides a huge challenge that we are very excited about tackling with our specialist on site team.

Corlin are very pleased to be able to confirm that we have secured the contract for the Intumescent Fire Protection of the structural at the Douglas Village Shopping Centre in Cork. One of the largest projects of its type currently in Ireland the project also involves the decorative painting of steel and protective painting of the metal decking. There are vast quantities involved and a very fast construction programme that Corlin are confident in meeting. This contuinues our very good working relationship with Bowen Group in Cork after previously successfully completing large projects for them at Lancaster Quay and the Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork.
