Completion of All Saints Church in Antrim

22 Dec 2010

Corlin are delighted to confirm that we have successfully completed the decoration package at All Saints Church in Antrim. This was a project that we were very keen to do and are very grateful to have secured it working with KB Developments Limited. This is another important addition to our list of Heritage projects.

It is great that the works very carried out to the qulaity required and it was an added bonus to receive the very kind letter from The Venerable Dr. Stephen R Mc Bride congratulating our team on the quality of the job and the service they provided. Congratulations on this go to our Foreman John and his squad.

We hope to work with this client and contractor again in the future.

Corlin Enhances Heritage Portfolio

20 Dec 2010

As can be seen from our web site Corlin have placed a great emphasis on the Heritage projects we have worked on. they are a source of pride for the company and the feed back from them has been great.

This is a market we hope to get into further so it is a great boost to have secured 2 further prestigious contracts that fit into this field of work.

We have developed a very good working relationship with Felix O’Hare of Newry over the past couple of years and we were delighted to have been awarded the decoration sub contract at Church House in Belfast. The most challenging aspect of this project is the restoration of the timber surfaces, in particular the ceilings, in the Auditorium area. We are sure that working together this will be completed successfully.

In Dublin we have also been awarded the package for the decoration of the ceiling at St. Werburghs Church in the Christchurch area. This project sees us resume our working relationship with Mr. Richard Ireland which we are looking forward to. This project involves the extensive filling of the existing ceiling and the redecoration of this ceiling to the high quality standards expected by the client, the architect and Richard.

Corlin delighted to maintain links with Tracey Bros.

7 Oct 2010

All associated with Construction in Ireland are finding things a lot more challenging but it is always encouraging when you see Contractors still starting different projects which is the case with Tracey Bros. of Enniskillen. They have long links with Corlin and we have always been very appreciative of the contracts we have secured with them.

We have recently completed a contract at the Health Science Building at the City Hospital in Belfast and are progressing well at the North West College in Derry. It has also been a major boost to have started up at Ballymena Courthouse with Tracey Bros. It is great to see a company like them continuing to secure these large, prestigious projects and we wish them all the best with them and look forward to still be working with Traceys when hopefully the economy is in a healthier state.

Sisk Driving On Against The Recession Tide

6 Oct 2010

Through the recent contracts we have been awarded by John Sisk & son it gives us hope that all is not lost in this industry and gives indication of a bit of life in themarket despite the doom and gloom.

It is important to have the most well known Contractor securing and working on projects throughout the country. Corlin have been lucky enough to secure work on the Montevetro and Data Electronics projects in Dublin and on the Sisk project at Indaver, County Meath. When you also see the contracts Sisk have on at the likes of the Mater Hospital it gives a more positive outlook and we would like to wish them much success on all these projects and we greatly value the working relationship we have with them.

Jetty Pipebridge Completed

22 Sep 2010

The very challenging project we had secured with Invista in Derry for the protecting of their Jetty Pipebridge has now been completed. It took the full of the summer period to finish. The main elements were the extensive cleaning that the whole structure had to get to remove all damaged existing coatings and the large amounts of rust affecting the steel being so close to the sea. A tried and trusted International Paints spec. was applied and we are delighted that the quality of service provided was warmly accepted by Invista.

The Invista team involved on the job were always on hand for assistance and we thank Terry Donnelly, Paul Godfrey as well as Lance and Peter for their help on the job. The Corlin team, led by Barney Doherty the Foreman, put in great effort and attention to ensure that the works met the high standards demanded on such a job.

Corlin hope that this will be the beginning of a working relationship with Invista.

Another Heritage Contract Secured

21 Sep 2010

The Heritage work that Corlin have been involved with over the past few years is an area of the business that we greatly value and one in which we hope to develop further. We are delighted to have been awarded the internal and external decoration at the very beautiful and prestigious Censure House in Howth, Dublin. This is a project that follows in the footsteps of Belfast City Hall and Headfort House.

It also marks the first contract secured from Quinn Reddin in Carlow and we are very glad to have them as a new client and look froward to working with them on the project and to providing the type of high quality job  that is required to meet the stunning location.

Invista Project Gets Underway

28 May 2010

Corlin have just commenced work on the Jetty Pipebridge at the Maydown Plant of Invista. This is a very valued addition to our client base.

The contract includes the extensive washing and cleaning of the steel structure of the Pipebridge and the protective Painting of this structure using an International Paints specification. This is a spec. we have used successfully before and being an International one will be an effective and fit for purpose one as normal. Due to the limited work space, naure of the work and the fact that the site is so exposed this will be achallenging project but the team involved have the experience required of such projects to ensure its success.

We look forward to this first experience of working with Invista. We assure them of our co-operation and hope this marks the beginning of an established working relationship between both organisations.

Now for that long, hot summer that everyone is promising!

Corlin Set Sail for Scotland

15 Apr 2010

As is becoming a very common trend for Irish companies at present they are having to look further afield for work opportunities. Corlin have as yet only had a few excursions to the mainland but recently we have secured a Painting & Decorating contract in Argyle Street in Glasgow.

There will be some familiarity however as the contract is with John Sisk & Son, a very valued customer that we have long lasting links with. We hope that this is a smooth running project which we are sure it will and we wish Sisk good luck with their ventures across the water.

St. Patricks Day Racing Closer

12 Mar 2010

Especially in these trying times a wee break does no harm at all. St. Patricks Day is obviously approaching next Wednesday and we wish all clients, customers and visitors to this site an enjoyable day.

As in many years St. Patricks Day falls during the Cheltenham Racing Festival so there is the opportunity to lift the financial gloom a little (or maybe make it worse). All tips for racing certainties will be welcome by all at Corlin so please feel free to e-mail them through to us.
